FAQs
How do you hand press your prints on paper and fabric?
I always use a wooden spoon or wooden wok spoon, a regular metal silverware spoon, and the pure power of these hands. For printing on paper I'm fairly light with the ink on the block, but if I'm printing on fabric then I'm quite heavy handed when applying the ink.
How do you embroider and sew your pieces?
I either hand-sew or use my sewing machine for both sewing and embroidery. Every piece that is hand-sewn is labeled as such.
Do you use a laser for your wood burns?
Never ever! I could not afford that and is not something I’m interested in. Every one of my wood burns are based on one of my own original sketches and is burned using a traditional free-hand pen style wood burner. For videos on the wood burner tool I use feel free to check out my Instagram or TikTok where I have a couple of pictures of the burner in action.
How do I wash my hand-pressed patches, clothes, or other fabric goods?
Wash cold by hand or machine and line dry. Any linocut pressed fabric can withstand cold water but can fade under prolonged exposure to hot water or sun.
How do I wash my sewn clothes or other fabric goods?
Wash cold and line dry. Hand sewn pieces should be hand washed and are labeled as so upon purchase. Sewing may un-do if put in drying machine and is not recommended.
